When a deleted image is pointed to by a redirect, CommonsDelinker removes the link inside the redirect page (in exactly the same way as it does with other pages), leaving the page with just

#REDIRECT

i.e. a unusable broken page. The correct behaviour is hard to tell, it should probably mark the page for speedy deletion (assuming it cannot delete it automatically), or maybe change the redirect target to the respective deletion request page, if there is any.
