Look at
https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Talk:Flow_QA?workflow=rplmcc70y143f7cv

someone was able to create a 10,228 character topic title, far longer than our limit. Is/was there a way to transclude [[w:List of awards and nominations received by Sherlock]] and defeat the limit?

The topic history link says the topic was created by IP 216.38.130.164 on February 20, 2014, and then a few seconds later some anonymous browser tests from the same IP (which has a bunch of random edits, so I wouldn't trust that IP to ID a user) made their usual posts to the topic. But our reporting of the topic creation may be wrong:
* https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/216.38.130.164 doesn't have a "created the topic .... " entry.
* https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Flow_QA&action=board-history doesn't show the topic at all.

This could be because the topic title exceeded some limit that interferes with these systems; or somehow another edit was hidden or moderated, or maybe adding a topic without a first post didn't create the history. Those would be separate bugs.

Can't reproduce this. The history of the topic linked to also doesn't reveal anything that would look like it may at one point have had longer text.

I'm even more concerned about that, though - looks like we may have some issues on our hands with wrong data making it to or being read from cache.

I'll resolve this specific bug as a WORKSFORME, though.
