Can be done by a service on GitHub. Needs to be activated and configured.
This is for Wikidata components on GitHub.

It'd be nice to have it done for all Wikimedia repos on gerrit... Might need an automated way of doing it Similar for SHA1 hashes at bug 61003
How was this done? Can you show an example on GitHub where this works?
We use the webservice github provides for bugzilla. Can be set up in each repository.
