Description dr0ptp4kt 2014-03-11 17:48:18 UTC
Please migrate zero-bdd.wmflabs.org and zero-test.wmflabs.org to the new labs data center in EQIAD.
Comment 1 Andrew Bogott 2014-03-13 05:36:24 UTC
This is in project 'mobile'.
Comment 2 Andrew Bogott 2014-03-13 05:37:22 UTC
I cannot merge zero-test as puppet is currently disabled on that system. Please sort out whatever puppet is doing on there and get a current puppet run passing, then bump this bug.
Comment 3 dr0ptp4kt 2014-03-13 17:47:13 UTC
Not sure what was going on there. I think the instance behind zero-test was introduced at a time before something in the way Puppet is configured changed. Anyhow, I just deleted zero-test, leaving only zero-bdd. I believe that clears the way for migration.
Comment 4 Andrew Bogott 2014-03-14 13:35:47 UTC
ok, zero-bdd should be happily running in eqiad. Any ideas about the other many instances in the mobile project?
Comment 5 dr0ptp4kt 2014-03-14 16:59:35 UTC
Thanks. Are the files for the home directory in flight?

For the other instances in the mobile project, you'll want to hit up YuviPanda on Freenode.
Comment 6 Andrew Bogott 2014-03-16 17:30:40 UTC
I'm rsyncing homedirs now, and I've emailed yuvi about the other instances.
Comment 7 Andrew Bogott 2014-03-20 14:47:16 UTC
Is the mobile project now happily in eqiad? Can this bug be closed?
Comment 8 dr0ptp4kt 2014-03-20 15:39:12 UTC
Is the homdir rsync done?
Comment 9 dr0ptp4kt 2014-03-20 15:40:55 UTC
If the homedir rsync is done that wraps up the zero-bdd part.
Comment 10 Andrew Bogott 2014-03-20 15:47:23 UTC
The homedirs are duplicated in /home/glustercopy. Ownerships should be arranged such that you can just copy the files that you need into your own homedir... does that work?
Comment 11 dr0ptp4kt 2014-03-20 15:54:22 UTC
Going via the eqiad IP 208.80.155.160 I see the files there with the appropriate perms. That closes out the zero-bdd part. Not sure about any other instances. Maybe MaxSem or YuviPanda know.
