We suspect the auto promotion feature no longer works on trwiki. Could you please have a look at this?

What does "not work" mean exactly? Any testcase, steps to reproduce?

I am not sure if we can reproduce this now. We can see from the logs (https://tr.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=%C3%96zel%3AG%C3%BCnl%C3%BCk&type=rights&user=&page=&year=&month=-1&tagfilter=) that July 4th 2013 is the last date on which a user was automatically promoted to "whitelist" and "patroller" groups.

What are indicators that there actually is a bug here? Only the timeframe? If 8 months feel uncommon, what have been timeframes before?
