I've created https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:Hovercards but all the links here are currently messed up!

What's the rationale for the name change? Changing the name of a git repo screws a lot of things up :/
I am very worried about things getting screwed up as well. I think Dan will be able to give you a reason.

As I mentioned in email, I am fine with the name of the extension proper remaining as Popups, as long as the user-facing sections refer to it as Hovercards.

So we didn't end up renaming the repository, but all user visible messages have been renamed. I suppose that is good enough and we can close this?
