Description James Forrester 2014-03-19 01:35:57 UTC
From bug 60748#c4.
Comment 1 Jared Zimmerman (WMF) 2014-03-21 00:05:24 UTC
bump. Just realized this from the Hovercards rollout that this is broken, we should probably fix this, since we have a lot of bete features coming up soon
Comment 2 Jared Zimmerman (WMF) 2014-09-27 02:11:18 UTC
Once again, with HHVM, and soon with Form refresh, we're losing out on lots of people who said opt me in, but the function isn't working.
Comment 3 Matthew Flaschen 2014-10-03 04:41:17 UTC
Idea:

1. Keep track of date "Automatically enable..." was set to "yes" in a hidden preference/somewhere.
2. Store the date each beta feature was launched (may very by wiki) in config.
3. Enable Beta Feature for any feature that was launched after the checkbox yes date (and does not have an explicit setting in the database, so you can still turn it off if you want).
Comment 4 Matthew Flaschen 2014-10-03 04:41:39 UTC
When you go to the actual preference page, the checkboxes should reflect the logic from #3.
