I think its great that developers add special characters option. While I would see here an improvment to load on every different wikipedia its charset, which was after the years of its ussage developed. Its not an "extra" of folks, its the fact that every language has some specifics (Spanish ¿, Czech „“) which are not native to keyboards. But yet when we want to have a clear and quality ecyclopedia we use them.
