Description Nicolas Raoul 2014-03-25 09:50:47 UTC
On PMTPA I was able to easily create an HTTP server by following the instructions at https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Lamp_Instance
The URL was like <instancename>.pmtpa-proxy.wmflabs.org

I deleted my PMTPA instance, and following the same instructions I created a new EQIAD instance: https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Nova_Resource:I-000002a6.eqiad.wmflabs

PROBLEM: None of these URLs work:
 - http://i-000002a6.eqiad-proxy.wmflabs.org
 - http://i-000002a6.eqiad.wmflabs.org

So it is a question rather than a bug report: What is the correct URL to access my LAMP instance from outside?

Note: The web server works fine when accessed from localhost or from bastion at http://10.68.16.181
I will update the instructions page when I find the solution.

Please ask on https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/labs-l instead.

Click on the 'manage web proxies' link on the sidebar -- it should be pretty obvious from there :)

Andrew: Thanks so much, exactly what I needed!
I update the wiki instructions right now so that nobody needs to ask this question again :-)
Cheers!
Nicolas
