Description Alvaro 2014-04-02 19:04:59 UTC
Hi guys,

First of all, I have not received notifications about the migration, so it has bite me when the instance stops working today.

We have being working for several months in:

korma.wmflabs.org

that was the instance:

https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Nova_Resource:I-000007f0

and it seems it has being Mothballed according to:

https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Labs_Eqiad_Migration_Progress

It seems it is described there are:

https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Nova_Resource:Contributors

Could you relive it?

It has a public ip: 208.80.153.179

Thank you very much.

It's often easier/cleaner to just spin a new instance up and reapply puppet if you can. Otherwise, we can revive it.

Please subscribe to labs-l, and make sure that other people involved in your project are as well. You MUST read labs-l if you have even the foggiest interest in labs reliability. https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/labs-l

I assume you are talking about the instance named 'contributors-metrics' in the 'contributors' project? I've revived that instance, allocated a new IP, and pointed korma.wmflabs.org to it. Once DNS updates, you'll want verify that it's behaving as expected.

Andrew, thank you very much. I have subscribed to https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/labs-l so in the future, I won't miss important updates like that.

Taking a look to the instance:

https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Nova_Resource:I-00000198.eqiad.wmflabs

I can not see yet the public IP, but probably is something related to data refresh.

Could you provide me the new IP?

Again, thank you very much!!!
Comment 4 Andrew Bogott 2014-04-02 21:46:42 UTC
The new IP is 208.80.155.168.

This should all be visible in the wikitech interface (https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:NovaAddress) but you may need to log out and in again to refresh things.
