As a logged in user on http://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/ edit any page. 

Choose "Insert Media"

Search for something e.g. "San Francisco"

Select a media image. 

Insert Media interface does nothing, but should offer a Save and then Review your changes options.
