In http://korma.wmflabs.org/browser/bugzilla_response_time.html there is one bug report listed that is VERIFIED FIXED: Bug 73 - Upload doesn't run edit updates on description page (links, search index and categories) Hypothesis: all VERIFIED bugs are being counted as open, and that would have a big impact in the graphs. We don't have a policy for marking bugs as VERIFIED, but we have 1896 bugs with this status in our entire Bugzilla. The oldest is the one mentioned above, and it has almost 10 years.
That's true. We're considering VERIFIED as open. So, do you mean we have to remove issues set as VERIFIED?
Of course! VERIFIED means that the reporter has tested / agrees with the RESOLVED report.
VERIFIED has a resolution (FIXED, WONTFIX, ...) which makes it a closed (resolved) state like RESOLVED. Also see https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Bug_management/Bug_report_life_cycle for more information.
Thanks for the info. I've changed the code that generates the reports to include VERIFIED as a closed status. The new reports will be ready tomorrow.
It is fixed now. Thank you for the quick fix. The fix has brought visible changes to the graphs about open tickets. The numbers we have now make more sense.
