Description axonfifty 2014-04-21 03:56:23 UTC
I have altered the file and file_talk namespaces for the ang. Wikipedia to "Ymele" and "Ymelmōtung", respectively, to update to current best practice and for accuracy reasons (via translatewiki); however, there should be aliases created for these using the old "Biliþ" and "Biliþmōtung" (respectively).

I'm moving this to Wikimedia Site configuration. Not sure if and where these aliases could be created in the MediaWiki code base itself (anybody please tell me, still learning).

For Wikimedia, looks like adding NS_FILE and NS_FILE_TALK to the "wgNamespaceAliases" section is needed?

The file is under operations/mediawiki-config/wmf-config/InitialiseSettings.php in Git. If anybody wants to give it a try, see http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Developer_access and http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Gerrit/Tutorial
