Description Liangent 2014-04-25 21:17:15 UTC
In 2014-4-22 => 2014-4-25 upgrade.

Switching to another app then switching back fixes that, but it reappears after some time.

When it's "not responding", ANR dialog doesn't appear, but the interface freezes.

If I workaround it (by switching apps) and keep using it, 'java.lang.RuntimeException: Adding window failed' appears soon. Last time the crash was triggered by tapping "My contributions" in the left drawer.

Got the same exception when "random page" is clicked several times.

My instinct is that this is a major memory leak from the webviews we keep. They aren't being recycled properly since state keeping those recycles was a major headache, but now they seem to be causing this.

But first must take a profiler to this, reproduce this, and see what exactly is happening. The big pauses sound like GC pause, or memory hitting swap (is there even swap by default on Android?) or something similar to that. Should show up in profiling.

Still happening
Comment 4 Yuvi Panda 2014-06-05 02:26:28 UTC
Should be fixed now? Re-open if not.

Is this bug 66732 ? This ticket has the same stack trace as the issue marked as for bug 66732 on the etherpad
Comment 8 Dan Garry 2014-08-19 17:40:06 UTC
Is this still an issue?
Comment 9 Dmitry Brant 2014-10-21 20:14:12 UTC
