Description ssastry 2014-04-29 16:43:14 UTC
http://parsoid-tests.wikimedia.org/oneskipregressions/between/cab9348e13c56c03e3b1109099ecf43ac2d24b01/c257ad0880a19df3f10d9942896da9a40f57b17c has a whole bunch of regressions RTing the HTML -- extension content is missing.

These are not reproducible anymore and my guess is that they are caused by API failures.

So, our extension and template wrapping code has to be smart in the face of API failures. It should mark those uneditable (if necessary, add error information for VE and other clients) and record original wikitext so that there is no loss of information on RT.

This is just a hypothesis and needs investigation and fixing.

I probably was not on the right branch when I was testing this y'day. This is reproducible and is not API failure related.
