When there's a network error and you try and search, you get a "Network error. Tap to try again." dropdown which is really useful feedback to let the user know that their search isn't working because the app can't contact the server. The bar is too persistent, however. Even when you stop trying to search and start scrolling down the article, the bar remains there, slightly obscuring you from reading the top of the page you're on, which includes crucial things like the title of the article! Proposed fix to discuss in the planning meetings: having the bar display constantly, then when you click away from search, leaving it up for n seconds (for some appropriate n) then dismissing it until you try to search again.
Yeah, fade out slowly after search loses focus seems like a good thing. I wonder if hitting back should also close it. Probably not?
