Description dr0ptp4kt 2014-05-05 21:36:09 UTC
It would be cool to be able to edit from devices that lack high-end JavaScript support.

Note... having server side templating would allow us to reuse the existing interface and reconstruct are views from a backend perspective..

Reuse the desktop UI?

I have a suspicion that low-end devices also lack good text input methods, except a few phones with physical QWERTY keyboards. Also, they tend to have worse navigation (e.g. controlling "mouse cursor" with arrow keys), making it harder for them to log in and start editing. Even after we allow anonymous editing it will still suck for them. Also, low-end devices seem to have a very low traffic share so I doubt it's useless to spend our time on contributory features for them.
