We are getting to a certain level of code maturity where I see us hitting this issue more often.

We conflate the concept of a View and Model either rightly or wrongly but this leads to problems such as bug 64932

What to do?!

I don't think this bug is actionable and am hoping it will come out of UI standardisation [1] so closing.
