Description Sage Ross 2014-05-07 15:28:28 UTC
I'm breaking this out from bug 63133...

For phones with slim bezels and cases that extend above the plane of the screen, it can be difficult to actually initiative a swipe from the edge, which is the action to pull out either the Settings drawer from the left or the TOC drawer from the right. For example, on my Nexus 5 with the official bumper case, it often takes me two or three tries to grab the Settings drawer (and I don't have particularly wide fingers).

I suggest that the drawers have a larger region that can be grabbed. For an example app with this feature, see Quasseldroid has. Here's how Quasseldroid implemented that: https://github.com/sandsmark/QuasselDroid/commit/cd7a842fe4da8f1f2bcebc6521c26e6a3e057274
