Description WhatamIdoing 2014-05-12 00:01:27 UTC
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Visualeditor-cite-tool-definition.json says:

{ "name": "news", "icon": "ref-cite-news", "template": "Cite news" },

Shouldn't the "name" part determine the name that's showing in the list?

The actual tool says "newspaper" instead of "news". I want it to say "news" (because the news might come out of a news-magazine or a news-TV show or a news-website, not just a news-paper).

Not exactly, but close. It means that the name is taken from [[MediaWiki:Visualeditor-cite-tool-name-news]]. The default translation of that message in English is "Newspaper", but we could change that to say "News" in the software. You could also edit the MediaWiki: page locally but I'd recommend changing it in the software instead to prevent enwiki diverging from the rest of the universe.

All done, just pending a yay/nay from James (since I don't wanna go around changing messages without talking to anyone).

Also, sorry for the long turnaround on this, most of the team was at the hackathon in Zürich last weekend and some people took some vacation time around that as well.
