Illustrates the problem (see the red text, and the valid template code {{free screenshot}} it refers to)

The Upload Wizard ( http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard ) invites the uploader to input a specific license, but then rejects valid license templates. Here is a screenshot illustrating the issue: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Upload_Wizard_-_No_valid_wikitext.png
Comment 1 Pete F 2014-05-13 00:01:57 UTC
(I meant to note: the "Preview" does render fine, so in that respect the Upload Wizard is capable of recognizing this as valid wikitext.)
Comment 2 Tisza Gergő 2014-05-13 00:29:25 UTC
UploadWizard goes up 5 steps on the parent category chain of the template and expects to find Category:License tags, but does not. This is almost correct, as {{free screenshot}} is not really a license template, but it can take a template name as a parameter, so I suppose we should treat it similarly to {{self}}.

Thanks, this makes sense.

I would suggest the error message can be improved (perhaps simply to includee the text you provided above). As it is, even as a pretty well-informed Commons user, I had no idea what the problem was.

Add 'free screenshot' to 'licenseTagFilters'

Isn't this all that's needed?
