Description Bartosz Dziewoński 2014-05-12 19:02:56 UTC
The "notices" thing (exclamation mark in a triangle) disappears from VE toolbar if you open a page for editing, close VE, then open it again (on the same page).

To reproduce:
1. Click "Edit" (or "Edit beta") on any page to open VisualEditor
2. Click "Cancel" to close it
3. Click "Edit" again

The toolbar will no longer have the "notices" item.

What browser does this occur in? Opera? It works fine for me in Chrome and Firefox…
Comment 2 Bartosz Dziewoński 2014-05-13 00:24:18 UTC
I tested on Opera Next 22 and Opera 12 with the same effect. Maybe this is related to the "You're using an unsupported browser" popup?

Aha, yes, when the only warning is the browser warning I also get this. However, if e.g. you try to edit the Main Page of enwiki you get the other two notices (protected page and edit notice) each time.

Renaming.

Gerritadmin seems to be missing, I uploaded Gerrit change #133537
