If access https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Test?action=edit&useskin=vector&uselang=en using Firefox 29 and put the mouse over the links "Advanced", "Special Characters" or "Cite", I see an API request like this in the console: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/api.php?action=query&format=json&prop=extracts%7Cpageimages%7Crevisions%7Cinfo&redirects=true&exintro=true&exsentences=2&explaintext=true&piprop=thumbnail&pithumbsize=300&rvprop=timestamp&inprop=watched&indexpageids=true&titles= This should not happen. PS: this also causes the error mentioned on bug 65425.
Are you sure it was because of the links you've mentioned and not because of some other links? I am unable to reproduce this on FF29.

Not sure why I am unable to recreate this :( Anyway, this patch - https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/135188 - should solve it :)
This was fixed with the patch being merged.
