In beta labs, visit a page in alpha and edit using VE. Tap the "add reference" toolbar item -- after selecting any of the options (cite web, cite, journal, etc.) you get a page full of form fields with asterisks indicating (I think..) that each of these is required. But you can actually save the form (by tapping on the blue arrow) without filling in *any* of these. We shouldn't allow a user to save the form without filling out all of the required fields. This means either that the blue arrow icon should be in a disabled state until each field has some text in it or that a warning dialog should pop up when you try to save without filling in all the fields, or both.
Prioritization and scheduling of this bug is tracked on Trello card https://trello.com/c/QENktIHg
Was this defined as acceptance criteria on any of the stories around references?
It wasn't - I've captured this in a story card: https://trello.com/c/9d7EY0NE/102-validate-input-for-ve-reference-workflow Resolving this as invalid as it is not a bug.
