Description Alex 2014-06-15 18:14:28 UTC
The Wikipedia Library (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:The_Wikipedia_Library) is expanding into multiple languages, and is needing more and more coordination of online and offline volunteers. Requested name either "wikilibrary-l" or if standardization doesn't allow for that "wikilibrary"

Before I create the list for you, I require the following information:

    1. Who is supposed to be the list administrator? Please provide at least two
e-mail addresses for people willing to take on the job.
    2. Should list archives be public or private?
    3. Should new subscriptions be approved by list moderators/administrators,
or should users be automatically subscribed upon confirmation (which
       they do themselves)?

Thank you!

Would it be acceptable for you if the list was named 'wikipedia-library' per <https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Mailing_lists/Standardization>?

That works! Sounds like a plan.

The list has now been created, and I configured it to have private archives, with new members added upon administrator approval.

You can configure the rest of the settings, including list description and a terse identifying phrase at the following web page:

    https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/admin/wikipedia-library

The web page for users of your mailing list is:

    https://lists.wikimedia.org/mailman/listinfo/wikipedia-library

Please list and describe your mailing list at the appropriate section of:

     https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Mailing_lists/Overview

I just sent the admin password to the three given e-mail addresses, and made them list administrators.

This request is now closed; enjoy your new mailing list!

            Tomasz
