Description Sage Ross 2014-06-16 20:33:37 UTC
The placeholder image used in search results, history, and bookmarks is the one that consists of a photo symbol and a plus sign. The idea behind it is that this indicates an article to which the user can/should add an image. (That's not a workflow that's supported yet, except manually via wikitext, but I imagine it will be at some point.)

However, the same image appears for *all* articles before the image loading has finished (ie, before the app knows whether or not there is a thumbnail to show). This is confusing, as it creates the initial impression that every article needs an image.

Before the thumbnails load, while the app is still unsure whether or not a given article lacks images, a different placeholder that conveys "loading..." should be used.
