Created attachment 15669 [details] Screenshot Steps to reproduce: 1.Open a page with VE 2.Type a text like "sdsad" which will not have any matching page inside Link inspector if you try to apply link on it 3.Select the text , click on the Link icon from the toolbar to apply link on it 4.When the link inspector opens up, and there is no match for link target try to clear the text, by placing the cursor inside the textfield of the link inspector Observed Result: Cannot clear the link text , cannot close the inspector in anyway, stuck inside link inspector. Device: iPad Mini iOS:7.1.1
This is happening in Betalabs, Also for a link text which has no match, it should suggest to create a new page which is also missing.
This bug now also follows the same steps as https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=66753 The keyboard needs to be get hidden after the first successful link addition in the page to reproduce this issue
Maybe fixed?
Yes, Cannot reproduce it from my end as well.Marking it as fixed and verified
I reproduced it again today following these steps: 1.Open any page with mobile VE 2.Click on Link inspector icon but your cursor should be on a blank line, do not select any text 3.Type in a link target name in the textfield inside link inspector 4.Now tap at the end of the link target name you just typed 5.Press backspace Observed Result: The text does not get cleared
A more general form of this issue that has been observed today is: if you just tap again on any text field in mobile when the cursor is already active there, it does not take anymore input from keyboard unless you cancel it and start it all over.
This is still happening
