[13:58] < ori> bd808: does scap not log to a file by default?
[13:59] < bd808> ori: I sends udp2log messages to fluorine, but not to a local file, no.
[14:02] < ori> bd808: it really should
[14:03] < bd808> ori: It would be easy enough to add. Would /var/log/scap/scap.log be a reasonable location?
[14:03] < ori> /var/log/scap.log imo
[14:04] < bd808> ori: Works for me. I'll write a bug for it.

Besides adding the appender and config to control where the log is actually written, operations/puppet.git should be updated to add logrotate rules to archive and compress logs. Daily rotation with 7 versions would likely be plenty of history with not too much disk usage.
