Description James Hare 2014-06-23 05:33:00 UTC
On a rendered MediaWiki page, the div containing the Table of Contents is defined id="toc" class="toc". However, said div is contained within a table tag that does not have an assigned id or class. This means I cannot use custom CSS to change the width of the table containing the TOC. We should probably question the wisdom of having the TOC being a div within a table, but at the very least I'd like to have some kind of id (perhaps "toc-container" or something) so that I could deploy custom CSS.

I looked at the page source of <https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Talk:Communication> and I'm not sure what table element you're referring to.

Can you please provide a link to what you're describing and/or give further information about which version of MediaWiki you're seeing this behavior with?

Upon further investigation it's not a problem with MediaWiki as a piece of software. Problem solved!
