Description Yair Rand 2014-06-25 22:10:06 UTC
When adding a new topic using Flow, the "Add topic" button is grayed out until some content is added to the top field. This could be confusing for some users, who might take it to mean that they are not able to add a topic to the page for whatever reason. (Wikimedians might assume that it means the page is protected, for example.) I recommend adding a tooltip to the button explaining the situation appropriately.

Thanks for the report. I've added a card to the current sprint: https://trello.com/c/L2AYBjYZ

There are now Tooltips saying "Please fill out this field", added to the title-area and post-area.

There's further suggestions at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Topic:S2ql633g5m56vlhd regarding:
* Changing the placeholder text to something different ("Your Title" and "Your Post" suggested)
* adding tooltips to the buttons themselves.
* making the [preview/reply] buttons clickable, but having them provide useful error messages, if the editor hasn't filled in the Title and Post areas.

Now on trello at https://trello.com/c/Kdghflet/
