Please add a full stop (period) and a space after the automatic "Undo" edit summary that appears when a user clicks Undo while looking at a Diff. Right now, the text looks like this: Undid revision 614467508 by Jonesey95 (talk) I would like it to look like this: Undid revision 614467508 by Jonesey95 (talk). Note the full stop and space after the end of the boilerplate. This will make it easier to add an explanatory note after the automatic text. I do not think this will have any negative consequences, but I have been wrong at least a dozen times already today, so I might be wrong again.
Many users won't add any "explanatory note"s, and we would end up with thousands of edit summaries ending with full stops. An alternative solution would be to only add the full stop + space at the 'onfocus' JavaScript event.

I agree; on this basis, I think this is a WONTFIX. > An alternative solution would be to only add the full stop + space at the > 'onfocus' JavaScript event. Maybe this could be written as a gadget and potentially moved into core later?
I believe that Comment 1 is not relevant to this request. There is already an edit summary, since this change would apply only to "undo" edits. I provided an example of the edit summary, which is automatically provided by WP when an editor clicks "undo". I am asking for a minor change to this edit summary, not to all edit summaries. I believe that this should be a straightforward change.
What's wrong with simply editing MediaWiki:Undo-summary?
Re Comment 4: That is what is needed. Thank you for identifying the solution. Can someone please add a full stop, followed by a space, to this default edit summary? Thanks.
