Description supervegetauk2001 2014-06-30 23:02:28 UTC
I have an OGV file, I've checked the extension and it is .ogv but Wikipedia is blocking me from uploading it saying that it is an .ogx. OGV files are hard enough to implement as it is, I'm not sure why even if it is somehow an ogx, ogx isn't on the list of formats alongside ogg and ogv.

Umm, all those extensions should be considered equivalent as far as mediawiki is concerned. What is the precise error you are getting? What method are you using to upload the file (UploadWizard, Special:Upload, etc)? Can you upload the file somewhere else so that we can see it (If its under 10 MB, attach it to the bug)
Comment 2 supervegetauk2001 2014-07-01 22:36:31 UTC
I'm using Special:Upload, the message was that .ogx wasn't supported and the file needed to be in another format. I tried multiple times without success. I've just tried again and it's gone through successfully so it does seem it was bugged albeit temporarily. ~~~~

Can you include a link to the file then?
