I visited my talk page, yet the notify will not disappear.

I had a bot assign me a welcome template (using subst) on my talk page just to test something. I have also done this with my account to the bots talk page.

Here's the issue: My account is the first account created on the wiki. When I visit my talk page, the youhaveanewmessage will not go away while I log onto my bots account on, seeing that the youhaveanewmessage is up, I click the link to the bots talk page and the youhaveanewmessage disappears.

The youhaveanewmessage will not go away only on the first account that was created. It's not a major problem but it can be annoying from time to time. Anyway I may fix this?

Which wiki is this about? Which browser is this about? Does this go away after https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:BYPASS ?

Oh sorry, I missed that this is about your own wiki. I guess this component will get replaced by Echo soon anyway. :)

Yea, hopefully this new Echo thing will fix this problem. It looks promising when looking at it over at wikipedia here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notifications/New_message_indicator
