Created attachment 15829 [details] Status of local uploads On several wikis where Special:Upload offered no dropdown options, local consensus has been found on appropriate community pages to soft-disable uploads and point to Commons. * List of wikis: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=User:Nemo_bis/Unused_local_uploads&oldid=9078533 * Discussions: https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Nemo_bis/Unused_local_uploads&oldid=8940453 + some which asked to join and linked discussions in the page. * Hundreds local uploaders and sysops have been separately messaged or pinged and I had more specific conversations with a few dozens wikis which will therefore not join this phase. * Two wikis with an EDP are included: they seem to be ok with this anyway, probably because only sysops upload EDP-covered files locally anyway. Upload on those wikis would be disabled separately by bug 66960, which has been notified with the discussions above as well as two issues of Tech News. Status of uploads on those wikis as of yesterday is attached (it's an excerpt of https://tools.wmflabs.org/robin/?tool=uploadconfig ).
