Description Kunal Mehta (Legoktm) 2014-07-04 22:20:24 UTC
I'm not able to ssh into social-tools1:

$ ssh legoktm@social-tools1.eqiad.wmflabs

Okay, let me try rebooting.

Go to https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Nova_Resource:I-0000023f.eqiad.wmflabs, press "reboot"

Takes me to https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:NovaInstance&action=reboot&project=social-tools&instanceid=62db2f80-3a0b-469d-b779-a1c4c88e4904&region=eqiad which says "The requested host does not exist."

It looks like this instance was mothballed after the eqiad migration, hence not really ready for login. As a rule, instances in mothballed projects need a bit of work before they can be accessed. The list of projects and their migration status is here: https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Labs_Eqiad_Migration/Progress

I've done a bit of tune-up work social-tools1, and it should be working normally now. Note that it hadn't run puppet in many months so it may or may not behave as you expect :)
