Description Aude 2014-07-15 13:32:37 UTC
I am trying to create a new account on beta and am getting a captcha. The captcha image is broken and not displaying, so it is not possible to solve it correctly and create an account.

http://snag.gy/Nppxe.jpg

If I go to the captcha image url, it says "Internal Error Requested bogus captcha image"

http://wikidata.beta.wmflabs.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Captcha/image&wpCaptchaId=612141929

perhaps there is something in the logs related to this or otherwise needs to be investigated and resolved. Don't know if it's a config problem or a bug in the code.
Comment 1 Andre Klapper 2014-07-15 14:22:03 UTC
Potential dup of bug 63981?
Comment 2 Aude 2014-07-16 11:58:43 UTC
don't know if it is a duplicate but perhaps related.

anyway, the captcha works today. I don't know why or if someone fixed it?
Comment 3 Greg Grossmeier 2014-07-16 17:00:30 UTC
No, probably not a dupe of the hhvm-specific bug.

I can't reproduce this right now, maybe it was an intermittent issue?
Comment 4 Andre Klapper 2014-08-04 09:57:39 UTC
Currently not reproducible, hence closing as WORKSFORME...
