snowmans after hitting CTRL-K twice, Chrome on OSX

Seen in beta labs and test2wiki/mw.org, probably specific to OSX:

* Edit a page containing only one line of text.
* In Chrome and Firefox, hit CTRL-K
* Text in editor is removed. No other CTRL character has any effect on the text being edited.
* In Firefox only, hit CTRL-K a second time. This removes the entire editable surface, rendering page both empty and not editable.

* Edit a page that begins with a non-existent template, for example https://test2.wikipedia.org/wiki/0.9051278265016425
* In Chrome, hit CTRL-K one time. Nothing happens.
* In Chrome, hit CTRL-K a second time. The template text is removed and a line of snowman icons is inserted. (Firefox follows the behavior reported above on this page)
