Steps to reproduce:

1.Open a page with Mobile VE
2.Open link inspector
3.Type something in the text field to bring up the suggestions
4.Select one suggestion from the drop down
5.Place the cursor at the end of the link target name in the field
6.Press backspace to delete it

Observed Result:
Instead of deleting the link target , it takes user to the CE closing the inspector.

Double tapping on backspace takes to a blank page

I just tested this out, and I'm not seeing any issues with backspacing text in link inspector on test2 or mediawiki.org on an iPad 2 – did it get fixed somehow?

I am still getting it following the exact same steps on Betalabs ,test2 and en.wiki. Infact, Roan and I reproduced it several times last week on master.
