Steps-
1> Select Language form the Style text drop down.
2>In the Language Selector dialog delete the two-letter code. Press done.
3> Now type in some text in the editor, notice that beside the Language icon there is “$1” in the tootltip. See Screenshot.

Yes, happening in Betalabs as well.
