In general items in the sidebar are wiki input (template names, parameter names) which are fine being cut off.

When the item is a UI element for inserting a new parameter though, it shouldn't be cut off. We might as well put the ellipsis in the localisation message (joking) for it is never rendered fully... (also no tooltip with full version). This is even more problematic considered it's localised. In English the first two words are enough to make sense of it, but we can't assume that for all languages.

Width is fine in en/fr/de/nl, and appears in response to user action, selected at first.
