Step 1. Choose Flickr upload. Step 2. Paste https://www.flickr.com/photos/fun_flying/1313873195 in the field and load it. Step 3. Press continue. Step 4. Extend the desciption-field a little. Step 5. Highlight "Boeing B-17G" in the decription field. It should now have frozen your browser. (BEANS) I use Firefox 34.0a1 (2014-07-29), I had 3 tabs open. 1 the Flickr-flie, 1 the upload-page, and one Flickr-search. I am using a Windows 8.1 AMD E1-1200 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics 1.40 GHz RAM: 4,00 GM (3,59 GB available) 64-bit (x64-based processor)
And I can't read the web consol, so sorry! :(
Does the problem still happen if you start Firefox in Safe Mode? (Safe Mode disables extensions and themes, hardware acceleration and some JavaScript stuff in order to exclude some possible reasons for problems. It does not disable plugins which are add-ons.) See http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode And does this also happen with a new and empty profile? See http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic%20Troubleshooting#w_8-make-a-new-profile and http://support.mozilla.org/kb/Managing%20profiles
In safe mode: When the desciption was "short", it didn't freeze, but when I tried a photo with "large" description, it froze.
What is "short", what is "long"? This needs clear steps.
This sounds a lot like bug 33607...
I tried these following photos: https://www.flickr.com/photos/statephotos/15186681191/ (didn't crash) https://www.flickr.com/photos/statephotos/15098702096/ (didn't crash) https://www.flickr.com/photos/statephotos/14772484399/ (didn't crash) I will look for files with "longer" descriptions. If it still doesn't crash/freeze, I will close this as WORKSFORME.
