1. Go to: /Special:ContentTranslation&page=Faringitis+estreptocócica&from=es&to=ca&targettitle= 2. In translation column, try to edit text filled by MT. 3. Hung! Also, console bring output like: .... 61560=0, 661561=0, 661562=0, 661563=0, 661564=0, 661565=0, 661566=0, 661567=0, 661568=0, 661569=0, 661570=0, 661571=0, 661572=0, 661573=0, 661574=0, 661575=0, 661576=0, 661577=0, 661578=0, 661579=0, 661580=0, 661581=0, 661582=0, 661583=0, ....
This happens with the buggy apertium packaged for Ubuntu. Just invoking aperium with some sentence will also make the machine very slow and hanging. Upgrading apertium or rebuilding package in Ubuntu will solve this.
I'm on latest 'stable' package we fixed (rebuild). I'll try new 'upstream' version and report back.
The Apertium packages in stock Debian (and thus Ubuntu) are very very old and should not be used. I maintain the Debian/Ubuntu packages for Apertium and dependencies, and will eventually update the distro packages. But, I've recently set up a build service that keeps all Apertium packages up to date nightly. See http://apertium.projectjj.com/apt/howto.txt for how to add to apt.
Not really a topic here but.. Tino, are you interested in doing same for Debian? I can 'sponsor upload' apertium there and review and Ubuntu can catch up once package is in Debian.
cxserver now uses APY for apertium and does not spawn an apertium process on the server. APY is currently setup in apertium.wmflabs.org. This issue is no longer reproducible
