Description Spinningspark 2014-08-12 01:07:26 UTC
Intention:
Attempting to replace a formula with text by selecting the formula does not work. Simply nothing happens. Either typing or pasting has the same null effect. Attempting to replace a formula by inserting a template results in the template being inserted after the formula, not instead of it.

Reproducible: Always

Yes, this is intentional. We could reconsider it but I worry that the additional slowness to support certain broken browsers in this respect (I believe the main issue here is Firefox) is not worth the minor user experience improvement.

Note that the "delete" and "backspace" keys still work to delete the selection.
