The wikicode [[File:Test.jpg|link=Wikinews:Main Page]] renders as an image with the tooltip "link=Wikinews:Main Page" instead of as a image linking to Wikinews:Main Page. 

This appears to be the result of some kind of misparse: the same problem happens with say, "Wikihttp://example.com", "Wikimagnet:deadbeef", "Wikimailto:example@example.com" and so on, depending on the value of $wgUrlProtocols.

Is using link= in [[foo|link=bar]] markup supported?

It's been supported since 1.14: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Release_notes/1.14#New_features_in_1.14
