Description Rob 2014-08-13 21:20:53 UTC
I think a search result that didn't find anything should also search for all related words in the query. I'm not sure I can explain this enhancement request any better without providing an example:

If I search for "Nelson's disease" I get no results, but the possible results that do show up only appear for "Nelson". I would like it if the search would include words related "disease" since that word can be easily switched for "syndrome".

If I had started my search for "Nelson's syndrome", it would have brought up the correct page.

I don't know how to modify or update the mechanism that is in place that redirects pages, but that might work as well.

Moving to CirrusSearch and setting to enhancement. Its certainly worth investigating. Most righteous would be to use the synonyms on https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/disease (modulo language).
