Description Mr. Stradivarius 2014-08-15 23:05:30 UTC
When someone has a spare moment, could you update the component descriptions for submitting Parsoid bugs in Bugzilla?

To see the component descriptions:
1. Click "Enter a new bug" in Bugzilla.
2. Click on "Parsoid".
3. When you click on a component in the "Component" box at the top, the component description appears in green text in the box next to it.

At the moment these descriptions are very generic. For example, the description for the serializer component is "Serializer issues". As someone coming from outside the Parsoid team, it's hard for me to know which is the correct component to submit bugs to. Particularly, I can only vaguely guess at the difference between the serializer, the tokenizer, and token-stream transforms, and it seems like a lot of effort to go looking through documentation or source code to try and find which one is correct.

Also, the description for the tests component is "Tests for the prototype", but I'm not sure what prototype this is talking about exactly.

Thanks in advance to whoever fixes this. :)

I've fiddled with the descriptions a little, but frankly no-one outside the Parsoid team is expected to know which component is "right" for this, which is why I created a "General" bucket when we set them up on Bugzilla.

See https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/describecomponents.cgi?product=Parsoid for the latest language. Closing as FIXED but happy to adjust further.
