the following error is appearing in the console while trying to open Math inspector:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'length' of null

Now appears to work for me – deployment issue?

This is still occurring in Betalabs while trying to open math inspector in an empty line.

This was fixed by https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/155831/ , don't know why it hasn't deployed to beta labs yet.
