Docs say "this is 0 for new pages" https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:AbuseFilter/Rules_format#All_variables but the linked edit (creation of an empty category page) has article_articleid 35269638

https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:AbuseFilter/135 didn't match anything.

How long do we need to wait? It is worth to write a onwiki workaround in the maintime?

article_articleid still works flawless... see for example https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:AbuseLog/559191 which describes a newly created page.

Please notice that article_articleid = 0 wont work for page creations in "Examine past edits" and "Batch testing".
