Since the full name isn't shown, it isn't possible to select the correct image format if two formats for the same image exist.

For example try to add Autobahnen_in_Deutschland.svg. Since in Commons there are two very similar images: Autobahnen_in_Deutschland.svg and Autobahnen_in_Deutschland.png. It isn't possible to know which is the correct one. (unless you use inspect element...)

The simplest solution could be adding title attribute
