See <https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Special:Version#mw-version-ext-WikimediaBadges>. It shows "<wikimedia-badges-desc>" instead of the actual message. For whatever reason, the localisation messages from that extension are not being added to the cache. Also, those messages aren't being translated on TWN because they're on github, but that's another issue... :(
I just removed the internationalization from that extensions so the description is now always added in English. This is how it is also done for the other MediaWiki extensions on github.
....... That's not a fix, at all.
However, as there is no easy fix to have messages on github translated I think we should close this anyway, as WONTFIX.

Did you look into why they aren't loaded on the WMF cluster? I think <https://github.com/wmde/WikimediaBadges/pull/13> should do it.
Looks fixed to me... translating is a whole other issue (especially on github :S)
